Ohne diese Datei startet das Gratis-Kazaa nicht, denn bei Installation hat man eingewilligt, dass sein eigenes Surfverhalten Gain/Gator Adv. übermittelt wird. Man braucht sich also nicht wundern, wenn Seiten aut. aufgehen, die ähnlich der aktuell angewählten sind.

| CMESYS.exe von Gain/Gator schreibt deine angesurften URL mit und sendet diese an die Firma !!! Big Brothers Best, ein tiefer Eingriff in jedermanns Privatsphäre, entsprechende Klagen sind schon auf den Weg gebracht, zB. von der NY times

 | The raeson why it cannot be removed is that this program starts executing when you boot your windows. Hence when the program is running, you won't be able to delete teh file. If you are using Windows 2000 or later, do to Task Manager - Processes, select CMESys.exe and then give "End Process". Now you would be able to delete the file.

| Kommt selten allein. Immer mit Anti-Spy-Programmen weitere suchen. Ich habe mir cmesys bei der Installation von Anti-Leech und NetPumper eingefangen. Entferner ist problemlos (mit den entspr. Tools)

| to remove it (for win xp and 2000) press ctrl+alt+del, choose processes, click on it and end it,then go to program files\common files and delete CMEII or something like that (delete also GMT - the same thing)

| i only know what i am told about it and that is that it is dangerous, it seems to slow everything down, i just deleted it and i'll soon find out what it was all about
