Its Microsoft messenger .. Safe.. but runs all the time even if u dont want to use it. A old version can be uninstalled from control panel. If u upgrade it, it will always start up no matter what. U can stop it from starting up by running "gpedit.msc" mircrosoft group edit policy from ur start -- run.. then Navigate down to the right settings folder and set as never run. Oh this only works in winxp and 2000. Ouchy
